With Brent's birthday weekend and Thanksgiving weekend (see previous blog posts this month), we had a pretty busy month. But of course, there are a few 'Wyatt' items worth mentioning separately (he's now 16 months old, after all!). In addition, I was able to catch up with some old friends this month.
Early this month, we had our first campfire of the season at the house. Wishful thinking? Maybe... But it did cool down enough to have one so Brent didn't even have to think twice! :) We definitely had to teach Wyatt a few things though because he kept getting close to the fire. But that's how you learn, right? By experience? :)
Other things Wyatt learned this month include the sign for eat, the dogs by name (points at Edie when we ask which one is Edie, etc), airplane (looks up at the sky and points), and makes new animal noises (cat, cow, pig). He also helps with taking off his shirt and pants and he sits down when it's time to put his shoes on. He's better about brushing his teeth and he doesn't like to hear 'buenas noches' (good night). And when we say it's time for a bath, he starts to walk towards the bathroom. He's also really getting the hang of using utensils. By the way, this month, 2 more teeth came out (his upper canines). So he's up to 14 teeth!!!
These are just a few things...there are so many other little small things we notice and I wish I could remember them all (but I'd be writing forever!).
Here are his school pictures that were taken at daycare this month. Apparently, he was crying before they took the pictures (notice the red nose) but he still looks adorable. :)

The LSU / BAMA game was the first weekend of the month (which we actually won!) and we decided to drive in to tailgate for the game. We didn't have tickets but it's just as fun to go out and enjoy the day, food, drinks, and the people (I think Meche and I even played flip cup...hadn't done that in years!). One of my college roommates, Selena, was also going to be there so it was nice seeing her and her hubby, Kevin. Love you Selena (and congrats on the little one soon to come)!!!
A pic with Selena at Sammy's Grill and some from tailgating for the LSU game:
You can tell that Wyatt was tired. Yep, he was. Out like a light despite all the craziness around us!
The boys look so excited... :)
Below, some random pics from the rest of our weekend with the Hatchells.
My men, not only being so cute, but wearing the colors from my alma mater (so proud!!! :)).
The boys playing outside in their flight suits. How the just love each other!!! I still can't believe they are moving to South Carolina next month. Makes me so sad. :(
I thought it was cute that Aidan, Wyatt's 5 year old cousin, had the same PJs as him. :)
Back in Houston, another old friend, Barb, came into town to visit. So it was great catching up with her and our friend, Ann. We went to Tony's for dinner on Friday, had a girls night at Ann's on Saturday, and met up for brunch at Empire Cafe on Sunday (and Eugene joined us). Wonderful weekend! Thanks ladies!

That same weekend, I took Wyatt to the zoo, just to get him out of the house...and because he just loves animals. Can you tell (even though he kept his distance at the petting zoo!)? Haha.
We were passing by the carousel and someone handed us a ticket they weren't going to use so I decided to take Wyatt on his first carrousel ride. He didn't like it very much. But we had no choice but to wait until the ride was over so I tried to get him to make the best of it. He held on tight, that's for sure.
When we came back from Miami a couple of days ago, it was early enough that we had time to put up the outdoor lights. Wyatt wanted to help, of course. Daddy's little helper. :)
Now, for some random pics from the month:
Daddy reading Wyatt his favorite animal book and hanging out by the water at Cedar Creek.

Wyatt enjoying a lollipop. Boy, did he ever!!!
Bath time! He loves looking at his reflection in the bathtub 'mirror'.
Being sweet with Molly. And just being Wyatt. :)
Silly Wyatt...
I love his eyelashes...
And finally, who can resist Wyatt's big smiles??
One more month to go and 2010 is over! Can you believe it???
